Sonoran Desert Discovery
Sponsored by the Dept. of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Sonoran Desert Discovery provides UA students the opportunity to develop hands-on, educational workshops to give to the public, school groups, or just about any audience. The topics are about Sonoran Desert ecology and therefore have ranged from invasive buffel grass to local lizard community composition to riparian oases. School groups can sign up to partake in the UA student-led workshops. Specific topics will be announced in early October.
Biosphere 2, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and at Flandrau
$3 per student for the Desert Discovery Program (1 hour), or $7 per student if booked in combination with a Flandrau field trip and planetarium program. B2, ASDM – events are included with the general admission price.
